In Hayward, a gray Tesla Model 3 crashed into the center divider in Highway 84 killing one person according to California Highway Patrol.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities stated it was not clear how many others were in the car or why the incident occurred. The incident was reported by the San Jose Mercury News.
This is not the first fatal Tesla crash in Hayward, as a 2018 incident saw someone die in similar circumstances. Hayward Tesla deaths are being examined, as well as Tesla deaths across the state, as 2 million vehicles were recalled last week.
