Around 4 pm on Friday, August 9th, a train collided with a vehicle in Los Lunas, New Mexico. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. 

The accident occurred near Highway 314 and Main Street, and according to Fire Chief John Gabaldon, there was only one person inside the vehicle, and they have been hospitalized. Their current condition is unknown. 

The Rail Runner train was carrying 26 passengers at the time of the crash, only one passenger was assessed for injuries.

Around 1:30 pm on Sunday, August 4th, a man was test-driving an electric pickup truck when he struck a car salesman in the dealership parking lot in Mission Bay.

According to San Diego Police Officer S. Foster, the driver, a 54-year-old man was test-driving a 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning. He shifted the vehicle into drive and the truck “abruptly launched forward”.

When the truck lurched forward, it struck the 31-year-old salesman. He sustained a skull fracture and brain bleed, according to Foster, and has been hospitalized. 

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
